Healthcare Professionals Track

Concerned about chemical dependency among the professionals in your own clinic or practice?

The Sequoia Center offers a new Healthcare Professionals Track. Designed specifically for licensed healthcare professionals, the program begins with direct assessment participation by our Clinical and Medical Directors, with special attention to the following:

• Effects of substance abuse in professional practice
• Medical ethics
• Professional boundaries
• High-risk situations and behaviors
• Personality issues secondary to substance abuse
• Presence of co-occurring disorders
• Psychiatric evaluation
• Psychological testing
• Spiritual difficulty

Sequoia can help deliver treatment and recovery directly to people in your work and practice.

Treatment

After completing both Sequoia’s general and special healthcare professional assessment, the professional will get a treatment plan based on individual needs and professional staff recommendations. The track can begin at any one of the following three levels of treatment: Residential, Day Treatment, or Intensive Outpatient.

Special individualized treatment for the healthcare professional include:

• Private meetings with Psychiatrist/Clinical Director
  
  
• Professionals in recovery group

• Longer term treatment planning issues for healthcare professionals

• Specific healthcare workplace related issues

in addition to the treatment services provided in the basic levels of care at Sequoia.

Continuing Care

• Clients who have completed treatment may enroll in a special group designed for healthcare professionals
