Assessment, Referral and Admission
Intervention Services

The Sequoia Center’s Assessment, Referral and Admission Department provides confidential and professional services for those seeking treatment for Chemical Dependency. The Assessment Team coordinates with referrers, healthcare providers and other resources to assist individuals and their families in obtaining quality care.

Each client participates in a confidential assessment with experienced clinical staff. The assessment appointment, lasting approximately one hour, concludes with recommendations made to the client and family. This may include treatment options and a level of care clinically appropriate for the client’s individualized needs. When deemed necessary, names and phone numbers of appropriate cultural, financial and age-appropriate clinical, medical and self-help resources may be provided.

The Sequoia Center now offers Intervention Services for families, loved ones, and other concerned persons who have an alcoholic or drug addict in their lives. Our Intervention Services begin with your call and our introductory talk, then include building the team of concerned persons who along with you want to get their loved one into treatment. We offer resources to the team to help them set realistic expectations, and establish boundaries to reduce co-dependency and enabling. Intervention Services include bringing the client into treatment, and coordinating care both before and after the course of treatment. For further information on the Intervention Services, please contact Lisa Molbert at (650) 421- 2568.
